About UC in Rome

Rome Study Center FacadeThe UCEAP Rome Study Center was inaugurated in the Fall 2003 semester. The Study Center is located in the historic center of Rome, just steps away from Piazza Navona and the Sacred Area of Largo di Argentina. Admission is open to undergraduate students from all UC campuses and offers upper division courses in English, as well as Italian language study. For more information on admissions, please visit the UC Education Abroad Program website.

A wide array of courses in the humanities and social sciences focus on Rome in particular and on Italy more generally. UCEAP offers four programs of study in Rome-- the fall "Rome Through the Ages" semester program, the winter quarter/spring semester "Art, Food, and Society in Rome" program, the "European Transformations" multi-site program, and the "When in Rome...". summer program.

EAP students are required to take a full-time course of study while studying in Rome. Students may choose to live in privately-owned apartments, with Italian families in "home-stays," or in a residence in Trastevere where students will live with other UC students.

At the EAP Rome Study Center, UC is in a partnership with ACCENT International
